We chose Hitler because he is a big part of world history, and was a great leader while yet was very cruel so it would be very interesting to learn about him. He left a legacy of oppress leadership and is still well known so we would like to know more about him and the things he did. Hitler also fit the theme very well for history fair this year.
We conducted are research by only using reliable sites that are social studies teacher told us to use so we mostly only used abc-clio.org that is in the hunting town media center website. Mr. Kerwin told us to use abc-clio.org because everything on there was a reliable source so we used that as our sources and for research purposes. That is where we got all of our research and knowledge from for this history fair.
We decided to do a website because everyone including the teacher was saying I recommend doing a website because they are much easier than anything else so we took the advice and did a website. Overall the website was much easier to use. We also figured if we didn’t know how to do something or needed help we could ask the teacher or a student because a majority of the class is doing a website and the teacher is familiar with it. We created our website using Weebly because our teacher told us it was a very easy and simple website maker to use. We made a total of 9 tabs labeled for certain things he did that show leadership and legacy and also tabs for leadership and legacy and a conclusion tab and a process paper tab with an annotated bibliography tab.
The topic we chose was Adolf Hitler and he relates to the theme because he was a great smart and fantastic political leader who manipulated his whole nation to think they were doing the right thing so he will have leadership. He was a oppress leader who started a world war and killed 6.8 million people so he will have a heartless legacy. So he related to the theme so we did Adolf Hitler as our topic.
